Southwest Rapid Rewards Double Tier Qualifying Points
(Posted: Feb 21, 2013)
A few weeks ago, Southwest announced that Rapid Rewards members could earn double points on all flights and double tier qualifying points on all flights into or out of Milwaukee.
The airline has changed the promotion so that all registered members will receive double points and double tier qualifying points systemwide on all Southwest flights booked and flown between Feb. 4 and May 15, 2013.
If you registered for either the double points or Milwaukee promotions, you don't need to register again for the double tier qualifying points.
Through mid-May, members on eligible flights will receive 24 points (from 12 points) per dollar spent on Business Select fares, 20 points (from 10 points) per dollar on Anytime fares and 12 points (from six points) on Wanna Get Away fares.
Only flights booked through Southwest Airlines channels are eligible to earn double points.
If you made reservations prior to Feb. 4, you can cancel your flights and rebook them without any penalty to take advantage of the double points offer, but check the fares to make sure they haven't increased before doing so.
